The History of the English Language by Laura Howard

English has a back story that many people do not know, not even some of the people who have English as native language known. Although this language is spoken in many parts of the world, is not the most spoken, this place was won by Mandarin Chinese. The history of English does not begin in England if not in parts of what is now known as Germany, even today there are words that are very similar between the two languages.
Understanding the evolution of English can understand the language divide into different categories;
Old English, Middle English, Early modern English and English today. As stated by the "Old English" began to speak in western Germany and was extended to up to Great Britain. During the "Middle English" English mixed with French. For "Early modern English" were created new words and phrases, plus there was a big change in the pronunciation of words and thanks to the invention of printing English is able to expand further. The "English today" has also suffered several changes as the invention of new words designed for new technology, such as "cyber" word before and did not understand would have no meaning because the technology did not exist now, where is applied that word.
This article explains the history and development of more powerful language today in the world. With intent more than anything people know about the past. It also shows the changes that have occurred in the language have been of great benefit since before the language was a bit more complicated to understand. The article is mostly a historical approach, he wants to do is to report on how language has changed and continues to change and evolve to adapt to life now takes on the world, inventing new words and new things are invented, and become obsolete and many other things that are lost, places, animals.
In my opinion English is and will continue to change because the world does not stop and be aware of the history of a language can help us avoid mistakes and, to use words without meaning or how to improve their pronunciation or grammar. To that English continues to have importance, should continue to improve, and in my view is a language "flexible" that can reinvent itself. For this reason I think is very important to continue learning about the language to be better and "polishing" and thus achieve an excellent way of communicating.
